#5 Free Writing - A Special Holiday

Before I left Hawaii, I had a chance to celebrate a special holiday, Memorial Day, with my friends. Memorial Day is a holiday for remembering the people who died while serving in the United Stated Armed Forces. After I finished the assignments, my friend, Viviana, and I took the bus to Waikiki Beach to find our friends and enjoy the holiday. When we arrived, the beach was full of people. Our friends gave us a paper boat with a candle and told us to write down our wishes and hopes. After that, we lighted the candle and put the boat into the sea. It was beautiful when thousands of boats lighted up the night sky. Finally, we all get together to pray for those who lost their parents or children in our mind. For me, it is a special and unforgettable holiday. ➜Tools:  1. Linggle: red
